Spectronic aims to detect problems – before they occur
A change in sound. An unusual vibration. Or a temperature that slowly begins to rise. Small changes in a machine can be signs of a much bigger problem. With a new sensor platform, Spectronic Innovation wants to help industrial companies detect the warning signs in time. This autumn, the company will exhibit at Elmia Subcontractor as part of IUC Sweden’s collective stand.
When Spectronic Innovation makes its debut at Elmia Subcontractor in November, it will bring a new solution for monitoring industrial machinery, equipment and processes. The company’s own sensor measures sound, vibration and temperature. The data is then collected and analysed using Spectronic’s own AI model, which can provide the user with concrete recommendations based on the results.
Johan Hansson, responsible for sales and business development at the company, explains:
– We want to help industrial companies gain a better understanding of their own processes, machinery and equipment by measuring, collecting and analysing data.
A startup with a long technical history
Spectronic Innovation describes itself as a startup, but the company’s technical
history goes back much further. The business was founded in 1976, initially working with two-way radio communication, and over the years has built up extensive experience in designing and manufacturing circuit boards and software, including for mobile phones.
Over the past ten years, the company’s owner, Carl Siversson, has also developed AI-based image analysis software for medical technology. Today, that experience is being applied in a new field – industrial production.
– Today, we manufacture circuit boards for our own sensor, which measures sound, vibration and temperature, Johan Hansson explains. We have also developed a platform that analyses the data we collect using our own AI model. The results can be presented in a dashboard or integrated into the customer’s existing systems.
Looking to understand industry’s critical processes
For Spectronic, participating at Elmia Subcontractor is not only about showcasing its new technology. The company also wants to use the fair as an opportunity to learn more about the challenges facing the manufacturing industry.
– We will meet many manufacturing companies and want to learn more about their challenges and the critical processes that we can help them monitor, says Johan.
The aim is to detect changes and provide a warning or alert before something unexpected happens.
This also ties in closely with this year’s Elmia Subcontractor theme, Resilience powered by industry. Understanding your production, identifying deviations and being able to act early can contribute to more robust production when conditions change.
Making their Elmia Subcontractor debut
This year will be Spectronic Innovation’s first time at Elmia Subcontractor. The company will participate as part of IUC’s collective stand – an opportunity that Johan Hansson sees as particularly valuable for a company at an early stage of its development.
– Being part of IUC’s stand and being in an environment where we have access to support and assistance is extremely valuable to us.
And although digital solutions dominate the company’s day-to-day work, Spectronic sees face-to-face interaction as an essential part of its participation at the fair.
– Most business is done between people, and the relationships we build when we meet face to face form the foundation for that. We see that as incredibly important!
