Swedish agriculture is facing a major generational shift while the demand for skilled professionals continues to grow. For the next generation to want to take over, farming businesses must be competitive and offer a good working environment. Working conditions, gender equality and, above all, the possibility of balancing work and family life are key factors in making agriculture an attractive industry for the future.

Digitalisation and automation are transforming how farming businesses are planned and operated. With the right technology, it becomes easier to make better decisions, use resources more efficiently and free up time in everyday operations. At the same time, solutions must work in practice and be adapted to the realities of farming.

Profitability is essential for investment, development and generational transition. The next generation faces important choices regarding construction, technology and new ways of working – while demands for efficiency, animal welfare and working conditions continue to increase.
