The Flower Grand Prix is a floral design competition held during Elmia Garden, where the country's top florists—both elite and novices—gather to compete in floral design.
Participants are given secret assignments revealed at the start of the competition The color scheme and inspiration are drawn from one of the trends in Elmia Garden Trends. All materials are provided on-site. The competition is led by the famous florist Nicklas Jensen.
On October 2, 2025, the debutant class in the Flower Grand Prix was decided. The results were as follows: 1st place: Jenny Adolfsson from Bloms Blommor, 2nd place: Ellinor Önnestam from Gullvivans Stockholm, 3rd place: Agnes Jansson from Gäddeholms Trädgård.
The competition managers for Flower Grand Prix are Nicklas Jensen and, in 2025, Margareta Kronman also participated as a competition manager.
The judges for Flower Grand Prix 2025 were star florists Sara-Lisa Ludvigsson and Linda Johnssen. They judged both the elite class and the debutant class.
The assignments are evaluated through blind judging, meaning the judges do not know which florist created which piece of work. Contestants can receive up to 25 points in each category: color, composition, idea, and technique. Based on this, the judges assess composition rules, grouping technique, rhythm, balance, proportions, overall form, color transitions, creativity, stability, and structural strength.
