– We manufacture thin sheet metal components, which may sound straightforward, but it’s actually a highly advanced production process that requires a great sensitivity to detail. We use etching and laser cutting in thin materials with extremely tight tolerances, enabling us to work in applications where the requirements are exceptionally high, says Jörgen.

Flexibility as a strategic strength

The company’s offering is not only based on technology, but also on how it collaborates with its customers. Mikroponent is often involved early in development processes, contributing expertise on what is actually manufacturable – sometimes even what initially seems impossible.

– Our mindset is that whatever can be drawn should also be possible to manufacture. We are often invited in at an early stage to share our experience of what is feasible when it comes to components. If a solution is to be both robust and scalable for larger production volumes, it is a major advantage to be involved from the start, says Jörgen Lindqvist.

– We have built a highly flexible production setup and work systematically with risk analysis and risk management. This allows us to continue delivering even in times of disruption or uncertainty. Resilience is not a buzzword for us – it is a practical necessity, says Jörgen Lindqvist.

As a supplier to the defense industry, the requirements are particularly high – something that also has positive spillover effects for other customer segments.

– The defense industry demands traceability, quality, and delivery reliability. This permeates our entire production and enables us to deliver with the same robustness to other industries as well, he continues.

From idea to industrial reality

Among Mikroponent’s projects are several examples where small ideas have developed into large-scale production. A recurring theme is close collaboration, perseverance, and the ability to scale quickly as needs evolve.

– It can start with a prototype in very small volumes and end with thousands of components per month. Our strength is that we can manage the entire journey – from a single piece to full industrial series, says Örjan Dahlstedt.
