Case: Empir – Digitalisation in production creates the conditions for smart manufacturing of products.

With Empir's help, Azelio AB has developed its production with a focus on the products it manufactures. The system controls the pace and provides support and instructions to operators who always build to the latest specification.

Quality and traceability are ensured at every step.

Components and process parameters are automatically downloaded from Empir MES (Manufacturing Execution System) and acknowledged in machine equipment along the line. With all the data stored in production, smart manufacturing of products, as well as a foundation of different forms of services throughout the product lifecycle is created thanks to traceability down to the individual level of how it was manufactured and what components it consists of.

Azelio has developed a storage solution for renewable energy. With their cutting-edge technology, they want to change the future of clean energy. Empir Industry was commissioned to deliver the digital production system to Azelio.

The system is running in two of their production facilities. Among them, the new high-volume production facility that Azelio has set up in Uddevalla, where they assemble Stirling engines for shipment around the world.

Furthermore, the system was implemented in their test and development facility in Åmål.
