Each type of needle is powered by the new pulse technology, which provides more controlled needle insertion and precise placement of the needle in the tumour, while enabling high quality tissue samples from both breast and lymph nodes.
The major challenge was to re-engineer the handheld drive unit from single-use to reusable, while making it compatible with three different needle variants with the goal of completely replacing all other ultrasound-guided breast biopsy instruments on the market.
