Case: ELONROAD – Charge on the fly
ELONROAD – is its name, "electricity on the road". An innovative deep-tech company that builds sustainable electric roads to avoid large, resource-intensive batteries, infinite range and a smart, digital infrastructure on our roads!
Since 2014, Elonroad has been working on dynamic electric roads, where you charge while you drive, and for a couple of years also an autonomous stationary solution to facilitate the transport sector to easily convert to electric power without having to sacrifice uptime or load weight. Charging is achieved via a rail in the ground and a collector on the vehicle allowing 300 KW charging while driving with 97% efficiency. Their aim is to lay the foundations for electrifying the transport of the future and to do so in a sustainable way!
This exciting and innovative work is supported by software from SOLIDWORKS and the 3DEXPERIENCE platform.
