Makers Place - new for this year!
Deepen your knowledge and learn from the pros - sign up for a personalized walkthrough of how to saw timber and timber a cabin at Makers Place during the fair's regular opening hours. Tobias, who runs Project of the Day, and Marcus, who runs Träkultur, will be on site. They are experienced small sawyers and will teach the craft of sawing the log in the right way and then timbering it into a cabin.
Take the chance:
- Review how to post the saw and plan your saw cuts in the log. Learn how to read the log for the best possible sawing results.
- Presentation / review of how to use modern tools to timber and get a perfect fit in both knot and wall, Understand how to use today's tools and see how smooth it goes with the right stuff
At 10.00, 11.00, 15.00 & 16.00 each day there will be briefings of sawing and also timbering. These sessions will be held for smaller groups with a limited number of participants where you can also get answers to your own questions.
Of course, it is free of charge to participate.
Makers place will also be a meeting place for those of you who want to stop and talk log houses or sawing in general. A place where we who usually only meet online physically can greet and socialize for a while.
