"Smart motion for the industry of the future"
With electrical precision and smart technology, LINAK has turned motion into art. From an idea in a wheelchair to a global technology company - now they are back at Elmia Subcontractor to show how intelligent actuators are fundamentally changing the industry.

Since 2005, LINAK has been a regular exhibitor at Elmia Subcontractor - and this year is no exception. With their world-leading technology in electric linear actuators, they will once again show why smart motion plays a crucial role in the industry of the future. Sarah Nilsson, Marking Coordinator and Fredrik Standahl, SBU Manager TECHLINE, share the developments and opportunities for LINAK at Elmia Subcontractor.

A simple idea with a big impact

The story of LINAK begins with a simple but groundbreaking idea. The year was 1976 when Bent Jensen took over the family business Christian Jensen & Sons. The company was then focused on agricultural equipment, but a conversation with a friend changed everything. The friend, who lived with a disability, asked for a solution to adjust his wheelchair - and the idea for the electric linear actuator was born. In 1984, the company changed its name to LINAK, an abbreviation of the Danish "Lineær Aktuator", and the rest is history.

Today, LINAK has over 2,400 employees worldwide, production facilities in five countries and subsidiaries in more than 30. Their technology is used in everything from hospital beds and office furniture to agricultural machinery and industrial applications. During Elmia Subcontractor, there is a special focus on the industrial segment TECHLINE, where intelligent actuators create new opportunities for the industry.

- Elmia Subcontractor is a meeting place that attracts a wide audience from many different industries. It gives us the chance to customize our stand and put the spotlight on exactly what we want to highlight every year, explains Sarah Nilsson.

Physical meetings become the engine for new business

In addition to meeting both existing customers and new partners, LINAK values the physical meeting - something they feel creates deeper dialogues than digital channels are often capable of.

- We feel that the fair is a unique opportunity to let visitors experience our products in real life. Seeing, feeling and testing our solutions makes it easier to understand both the quality and the intelligence behind them. Elmia Subcontractror is also a perfect opportunity for product launches. With the industry gathered under one roof, we can quickly get valuable feedback directly from the market, says Fredrik Strandahl.
