Syntronic develops world-leading electronics

Think of advanced electronics in such fields as telecom, industry, medtech, automotive and defence. Think of a design firm that takes you the whole way from concept to finished product and supports you through the whole production cycle. That’s where you find Syntronic.

This is the first time Syntronic is exhibiting at Elmia Subcontractor but this is an experienced team that’s been working with sophisticated electronics ever since it began in 1983. Based at the head office in Gävle north of Stockholm – where it has Sweden’s most advanced electronics lab – Syntronic serves innovative and demanding customers with solutions in such fields as 5G and self-driving cars.

“We’re a service company that’s privileged to work in exciting areas where you have to be at the leading edge of development all the time because things are happening so fast,” explains Andreas Asplund, Account Manager.

All manufacturing is done in Sweden
When you work with development and maintenance throughout a product’s entire life cycle, it’s important to be close to your customers. In addition to the design centre in Gävle, Syntronic also has a design centre in Canada which serves the North American market plus one in Beijing for customers in Asia. Syntronic also provides after-market solutions at a global level.

“But all manufacturing is done from Sweden and our production units in Kumla and Sandviken. From there we deliver worldwide,” Asplund says.

Syntronic also has a unique position in the market.

“The fact that we have everything under one roof, we work close to our customers, and we accompany them the whole way makes us unique,” says Roger Lindholm, Managing Director, Syntronic Production Services. “From the enquiries we’ve received, we’ve also noticed that the trend is going in that direction. People want a one-stop shop.”

Deals are based on relationships
Syntronic has a presence in 18 cities around the world, annual revenues of SEK 1 billion and 1,300 employees, of whom 300 work in Sweden. Now the company is encountering visitors to Elmia Subcontractor for the first time.

“We work a lot on relationship building because we sell services,” explains Stina Hillblom, Marketing Manager Syntronic Group. “So you have to meet – and now we’re hoping for good encounters here at Elmia.”
