Successful matchmaking turned them into exhibitors

For the Czech company Ray Service the hunt for new business partners began at Elmia Subcontractor’s matchmaking service in 2013. Today the company is a repeat exhibitor at the fair.
“We want to expand in Scandinavia and this is the best route for us,” says Marek Pochylý, Key Account Manager.

Ray Service manufactures and supplies total solutions in cable assemblies, electromechanical assemblies, electronic equipment and cable component delivery. After a number of years the company decided to focus on export – above all to the Scandinavian market. The journey began at Elmia Subcontractor’s matchmaking service, Connect, in 2013.
“I heard that it was an extremely effective way to find new business partners so I decided to start there,” Pochylý says.

After a successful first participation, which led to a number of new contacts, he decided to return the next year.
“I was overwhelmed by all the good business meetings we had. Participating in the matchmaking service really involves both quality and quantity.”

This year Ray Service chose to expand its participation in Elmia Subcontractor by exhibiting there. Pochylý says he wants to also come into contact with the visitors who do not take part in the matchmaking event.
“It has gone really well. We’ve had at least ten meetings in three days, all of which have been interesting. I definitely believe in new business partnerships within the near future.”

Will you come back next year?
“Yes, absolutely. I’ve even recommended other local companies in the Czech Republic to visit Elmia Subcontractor. Coming here is absolutely worthwhile.”
