Amateks swamped with enquiries

The first order arrived the week after the fair and now the Latvian company is working hard to handle the great interest from all its new contacts. Amateks’ participation in Elmia Subcontractor 2015 gave immediate results.

Amateks is a metalworking supplier to companies in such segments as electromechanics, automotive, heating and microelectronics. The company already had an established customer base in Scandinavia but decided to exhibit at Elmia Subcontractor 2015 in the hope of establishing even more business relationships. The results were not slow to appear. The very week after the fair, Amateks received an order worth about 30,000 euro.

“It was so quick!” says Janis Gulbis, Export Project Manager at Amateks. “We’re also working with a number of other contacts from the fair. The fact is, they’ve expressed so much interest that we’re having to work hard to handle all the requests within a reasonable time frame.”
