Consequent expansion in Scandinavia: Vossloh Locomotives' new subsidiary and local service offer in Sweden

Kiel, October 06, 2015. Vossloh Locomotives GmbH has founded its own sales and service company in Sweden, offering its clients comprehensive services also on-site in Scandinavia. Qualified local partner companies are involved in services in customer proximity and their staff is trained on the current Vossloh product portfolio.
The Vossloh Locomotives Scandinavia AB based in Örebro is represented by Thomas Schwichtenberg, Managing Director of Vossloh Locomotives in Kiel, and by Ronny Hjärtmyr, the company's Swedish Sales and Service Manager.
"Scandinavia has traditionally been an important market for Vossloh Locomotives", explains Ronny Hjärtmyr. "Therefore, our consequent commitment in Sweden is to be seen also as part of the European approval strategy of the green Vossloh Locomotives family." Currently, nine G 6 three-axle shunting locomotives are produced for Swedish customers; one has already been operating in Sweden since mid-2015. Additionally, the launch of the DE 18 four-axle diesel-electric locomotive is planned for the beginning of 2017 in Sweden.
Nordic Rail 2015, the Scandinavian railway fair, is taken as the celebratory occasion to sign a rental contract with Rush Rail for a G 6 locomotive. Rush Rail AB coordinates the safe and eco-friendly transportation in Sweden for RushRail Intermodal AB. Each week, more than 70 cargo transports are loaded to rail from Gothenburg harbour. The ideal terrain for the agile G 6 that can perform heavy shunting service in the tightest of industrial areas thanks to its 670 kW motor.
