Information to exhibitors regarding postponed fair

The decision was made by Elmia AB in consultation with partners Svenska Automationsgruppen (SAG – an alliance of automation industry associations), trade association SVMF, the Swedish Welding Commission, additive manufacturing association SVEAT, and PMG – the association of plastics machine companies.

The reason we have chosen to postpone the event for two years is partly because Elmia Production Fairs encompasses six separate trade fairs, all with their own specific needs. Furthermore, several of the exhibitors are multinational companies or companies with multinational principals – with a need for long-term planning. The calendar for major events is planned several years in advance, and we do not want Elmia Production Fairs to clash with other international trade shows.

What happens if I have booked an exhibitor stand at Elmia Production Fairs 2020?

Contracts for Elmia Production Fairs 2020 still stand, but will be moved to 2022. In consultation with the above partner organisations, Elmia has agreed on the procedure outlined below, with open agreements.

All monies received for the 2020 fair will be refunded by Elmia, apart from the basic fee. The basic fee will be held and will be valid for the fair on 10–13 May 2022 instead.

What happens if I have only paid the basic fee?

If you are an exhibitor and have only paid the basic fee, and not the fee for the event itself, the due date will be extended until 2022 and an updated invoice will be sent.

What happens if I have paid the invoice for my stand?

Everyone who has paid any monies for the 2020 fair, over and above the basic fee, will be contacted personally by Elmia with instructions regarding a refund. We will contact you as soon as possible, and refunds will be paid on an ongoing basis. You will receive a credit note for the 2020 invoice, and a new invoice for the corresponding space in 2022 will be sent, with a new due date.

What happens to my stand space for Elmia Production Fairs 2022?

You will keep your Elmia Production Fairs 2020 space until the 2022 fair.
