World premiere for cordless frame saw
Combine well-tried frame saw technology with a fuel-efficient combustion engine.
The result is the Logosol Låks 500. It’s a world first and it premiered at Elmia Wood.
Poorly developed electricity networks are a problem when anyone wants to start up a sawmill. At least, until now.
“We wanted to be able to offer a high-performance saw even if the electricity supply is not the best,” explains Kalle Låks of Logosol. “Electricity supply problems are common in all countries but perhaps most of all in Africa and the United States.”
The world’s highest capacity?
The well-tried technology in the Logosol Låks 500 frame saw is equipped with a Briggs & Statton combustion engine with 23 horsepower. This fuel-efficient engine is environmentally approved but still provides good performance.
“The entire design – not just the engine – is energy efficient. The frame is powered by a balanced flywheel and everyone who remembers the farm tractors of the 1950s knows what a big flywheel can do,” Kalle says.
How much fuel does the saw use when the combustion engine is working?
“You can saw approximately 500 lineal metres per litre of fuel,” Kalle says. “That could well be the world’s highest capacity per unit of energy used.”
As of several months ago, all Logosol Låks models are available with either electric or petrol engines.
