New engines give customers the right technology to meet a variety of application needs
WATERLOO, Iowa (April 22, 2009) — John Deere Power Systems (JDPS) has announced the technology solutions it will use to meet the stringent Interim Tier 4/Stage III B mobile off-highway emissions regulations for the company’s complete lineup of industrial diesel engines. These regulations require at least a 90 percent reduction in particulate matter and up to 50 percent reduction in nitrogen oxides (NOx) from previous Tier 3/Stage lll A requirements.

More effective spacing method using new backpack chainsaw
Spacing in high places, also known as top spacing, is a new method for handling primarily deciduous self regeneration in coniferous regenerations. The new method of spacing will enable natural self pruning through effect from natural thinning. The method will result in more game feed, thus reducing damages from game feeding, and it will also be possible to skilfully rectify old game feeding damages, such as forked stem and spike knots. At the same time, stump sprouts will be avoided, which will reduce costs for further spacing measures.
