Elmia Subcontractor in Jönköping, Sweden, is a good opportunity to get an overview of the industry. Being the leading trade show of its kind it attracts "everyone" connected to the Swedish subcontracting industry. The exhibitors are keen to display their product news and innovation making the fair an excellent way of discovering trends and get inspiration for new solutions.
Every year we perform independent surveys on both exhibitors and visitors. The results show for example that:
47% of visitors in 2010 intend to order or recommend ordering something that was on show at the fair in the next 12 months. That’s the highest percentage ever, and an increase of about 10% on fairs in recent years.
Visitors come to the fair with specific goals in mind. Half come to find new suppliers. Four out of 10 want to maintain contacts and meet the suppliers they already work with. One in four look for new products, and for one in five the fair is a way of gaining an overview of the industry as a whole.
