PRomotion EXPO was held for the first time in January 2002, thereby becoming the industry's independent market and meeting-place. Eighty-five exhibitors took up the challenge of making their debut at the inaugural fair at short notice. One thousand four hundred inquisitive and expectant resellers from the whole of Sweden and its neighbouring countries headed for Jönköping and Elmia, despite traffic warnings about snow storms.
Since then PRomotion EXPO has grown into an established trade fair, recognised for its high quality of visitors and exhibitors, and the varied range of products displayed in an exemplary way.
Nowadays the fair attracts some 3,000 visits and around 200 exhibitors.
The proportion of new visits and new exhibitors is increasing with each fair, demonstrating that the industry is growing and attracting new stakeholders representing the second generation of profilers.
