The conference is a key part with nearly 150 seminars covering the most important questions in the industry. Among the lectures are the foremost experts on current issues affecting the Nordic market, but the gaze is also directed against the rest of Europe and the world. High-speed train from an international and a Nordic perspective is the main theme of the head seminar. Gunnar Malm, the governments investigator in high-speed, will come to the fair to present his view on the possibilities for high-speed trains in Sweden. Leif Zetterberg, State Secretary at the Ministry of Industry, will speak about the government’s emphasis on a new national infrastructure authority and discuss the decision from an industry perspective. - Nearly 260 exhibitors are on site and the leading companies in the industry is here, says Jörgen Nyström. This year are the two fairs broader than previously. Elmia Nordic Rail is a pure international railway exhibition, focused on technology and infrastructure, while Elmia Future Transport aimes at everyone involved in the transport of goods and passenger. The international element is still high, around 40 per cent.
