RIG paves the way for the Swedish railway

Swedish railway industry is well established and well known in the export market. The industry continues constantly to develop services, technology and equipment for the future of railways with a focus on environmental, energy conservation, safety and security. was built to response to customer. In response to customer demand, several leading Swedish companies from the sector formed SWERIG - Swedish Rail Industry Group.

SWERIG is an organization responsible for initiating, coordinating and managing joint marketing activities in selected export markets.
 -We are representative of what Sweden can offer in terms of products and services in the railway sector, says Lars Lindblom, Coordinator of SWERIG.
The organization works complete with everything from planning and design of hardware and software for both infrastructure and rolling stock.

Interesting export markets
SWERIG expires in activities with groups of business and meet potential customers, authorities and administrations. During autumn visits to customer as Skanska in Poland and the MTR in Hong Kong are planned.
 -We go out with the concept abroad to inform the companies that SWERIG can be a gateway to the Swedish railway industry for both infrastructure owners and train operators and the companies they hire, says Lars Lindblom. Also the Nordic countries are regarded as an attractive export market, given the current large investments being made right now, including Denmark's commitment to a new signal system and the expansion of double track in Norway.

Opportunities for personal meetings
This year was the sixth time that SWERIG appeared at Elmia Nordic Rail. Ten of the 39 member companies joined SWERIG in the organization's exhibition stand. Twelve others presented their products and services in individual stands.
A steady flow of visitors, both new and old faces, streamed through the stands.
During Tuesday night SWERIG hosted a bowling-event, in which member companies invited their customers. The evening was successful and the mood was cheerful, when 135 people gathered to go bowling, eat good food and mingle with each other.
