Mobile maintenance solutions for trains that always rolls
Availability, reliability and durability - three important key words for EuroMaint Rail, which has the ambition to become Europe's leading supplier of advanced maintenance services to all parts of the rail transport industry.
-Vehicles must as far as possible be available for traffic, says Lina Holmgren, Communicator at EuroMaint Rail. At Elmia Nordic Rail could the public see samples of the company's mobile maintenance services.
EuroMaint Rail takes full responsibility for vehicle availability through effective maintenance so that the customers can concentrate on offering passenger service, transporting goods or develop infrastructure. The requirements for quality and safety are very high for both passengers and freight. Customers like SJ, Veolia and the Arlanda Express, require that the passenger trains should be comfortable, safe and arrive at the right time. With efficient technical maintenance, component servicing and rebuilding of vehicles can EuroMaint Rail enhance its customers' competitiveness. Green Cargo, Hector Rail and Swiss AAE uses EuroMaint Rail for vehicle maintenance. The workshops carried out preventive measures, ongoing maintenance and technical upgrades. Injury measures in place
If a freight train in traffic will get wheel damage it can mean delays and high costs. The solution to this is that the damage dealt along the track or on the premises of the customer terminals or ports. EuroMaint Rail's mobile service teams are at Elmia Nordic Rail to showcase their activities. They have been servicing cars equipped with cranes, mobile lathe equipment and braking tests.
-With a mobile wheel lathe, you can repair the damage caused on the spot, says Bjorn Werner, Project Manager Products, at EuroMaint Rail. Thus eluding you trans-shipments, delays and costly, resource-intensive transport of damaged vehicles to a repair shop. The mobile service team is quick to spot when an injury has occurred. Service team measuring wheel damage and wheel diameter and profile, mount lathe, hydraulic and flight control systems. Then start turning the right program. Wheel turning machines with a patented, proprietary mobile wheel lathe.
-Replacement of axles on the wagons is the most common measure, says Björn Werner. Turning the wheel in the box is a good alternative to replace axles. Three to four times, you can usually turner one axle, then switch to wheels and new plates are printed on. Turning the wheel in the box is a solution that saves both time and money. The technical will also do a test of brakes. After three or four hours for the train to roll forward again.
Visitors show great interest in the mobile services that EuroMaint Rail shows up outside the exhibition halls. Lina Holmgren is happy with the trade fair visit:
-Face meetings and networking are important elements, says Lina. Fair is the right time when there is much going on at the rail industry at this time.
