A focused trade fair for welding and joining techniques will become reality when Elmia Svets takes place May 8-11, 2012. The fair is arranged in close co-operation between the organizer Elmia and the branch association The Swedish Welding Commission (Svetskommissionen).
– Finally we get a meeting place with complete dedicated to everything to do with welding and joining techniques, says Mathias Lundin, CEO for the Swedish Welding Commission with 400 member companies all over Sweden.
Elmia Svets (Welding) is the name of the brand new trade fair to be arranged May 8-11 next year in Jönköping. The fair will be covering the field of joining in general and welding in particular.
- We are putting complete focus on the commercial benefit for all parties. The core of Elmia Svets is of the business opportunities that the fair can create. But it is also an arena for ideas and knowledge with the goal of increased productivity, say the project director Johan Ingemansson.
Elmia Svets will take place parallel to two other industry trade fairs; Elmia Polymer and Elmia Automation.
- To us the fact that Elmia Automation is arranged parallel to Elmia Svets is absolutely and advantage. Every third robot sold in Sweden is part of a welding application. Automation is very much linked to modern welding technology, continues Mathias Lundin.
Exhibitors at Elmia Svets are companies who market and supply equipment, material and services for welding for example welding equipment, safety equipment, steel, welding consumables, software, education and training etc. There will also be suppliers of ”related techniques” such as thermal cutting, thermal spraying, heat treatment and for other jointing technique, such as riveting, bonding and taping.
- We want to gather everything connected to welding and joining techniques. A visit to Elmia Svets will be efficient, raise the level of competence and drive business in the industry.
Elmia Svets takes place parallel to Elmia Polymer, Scandinavia largest trade fair for the plastics- and rubber industry, and Elmia Automation, the leading fair for automation in manufacturing industries.
